Building A Place Of Sustainability – Day 6 Operation Hope Haiti Edition – Mar 2018

Day 6 – Our last day in the village…

It was a bit of a somber morning today as we all realized it would be our last trip to the village. Never less we got ourselves up and out the door and to the village ready to worship and show Gods love to the people of Haiti.

Kids Camp had a little different rotation today as the construction team was fixing the roof of the schoolhouse. So… what do you do when you have to change things up… you guessed it we had a dance party! By the time we were done dancing and our legs felt like they were going to fall off we went straight to coloring, crafting, and then playing games. We had a blast with these children and we even had a special treat today… the kids got to see a movie after camp today! We watched Big Hero 6 in french since it was the closest we could find to creole and they LOVED IT! Needless to say tears were shed by many of us as we had to part ways with these wonderful loving people, but our feelings of sadness to leave was affirmation to many of us that we will be coming back!

The construction team laid the final trusses for the roof of the home they’ve been working on all this week. Block was laid and the team was also able to build the walls of the. Some of the team worked on replacing the schools see-through roof with metal roofing sheets because the they were broken. Another part of the team finished the gable of the church and and then went on to finish laying block. Once again this team out did themselves and accomplished so much for the village and God!

At the medical clinic, Jezner, the Haitian nurse that was being trained by Dr. Thomas again. This week alone they saw around 190 people including todays 39 patients, WOW! Todays patients were treated for allergies and high blood pressure and were so very grateful for the care they received by our medical team.

We are going to miss this place and for sure will be taking a little of Zornage home with us all… we are all overwhelmed with what God has accomplished in and through us this week and are thankful to have been a part of it all…

We will pray for Zorange until we return again…
