Building A Place Of Sustainability – Day 7 Operation Hope Haiti Edition – Mar 2018

Day 7 – Getting ready to return home…

Today was our last day in beautiful Haiti. We were so grateful to have a day of rest before heading home tomorrow. We have been sharing stories of our experiences in Zorange all day and many of us are positive we will be returning.

Today some people chose to stay back at the house and relax while others headed out to Mission Baptiste for some shopping, sightseeing, and lunch. We shopped in the markets and had a friendly competition to see who could get the best bargain! We were blessed to be able to enjoyed a delicious lunch with a fantastic view before heading back to the house. At lunch time we had the absolute pleasure of meeting two missionaries that started their journey here in Haiti 72 years ago! Wallace and Eleanor Turnbull(shown below) are absolutely amazing people who are doing God’s work everyday. What an example to all of us!

Those who stayed back at the house spent some time out in the sun trying to soak it all up before returning to the snow! We all are looking forward to our last dinner together here in Haiti. Tonight Caleb, Sandro, Anna, and Hannah were baptized here in Haiti and it was so amazing. We have a worship night planned for tonight which we are all very excited about and are so grateful to Kelly and Richard, the missionaries that hosted all of us.

Until next time Haiti. See you all soon!
