Day 6 – Look what the Lord had done…
Our last day in Zorange has been bittersweet—Full of hugs, laughs and sweet moments with the people in this village we have come to love over these past four days. We have all done our best to use the talents God has given us to show & share the love of Jesus Christ with our new friends her in Zorange. Our prayer is that what we’ve accomplished here in this short visit will continue to plant seeds that will eventually grow into a full village of Christ followers.
Some highlights from the day are the progress made b y the construction crew on the new bathroom. The walls are up and it’s amazing to see this labor of love in progress. Children’s ministry ended today with teaching the children that Jesus SAVES! We made bracelets with different colored beads to remind us of all the wonderful things we receive because of Jesus’ sacrifice for us all.
In the clinic, Lorna has earned her official title as “Medical Assistant/Manicure Specialist” — not only did she provide TLC for each patient but also a fabulous manicure while they waited to be seen! We were able to bless each teacher with a special box of teaching supplies. They were so grateful to receive these items. It’s been such a blessing to each one of us to serve this community.
We had an awesome dinner and fellowship tonight, swimming, playing games and sharing favorite moments from the trip. Tomorrow we take a day off to rest and reflect. This has truly been an experience that has changed us and stretched us.
